Our mission is to promote the well-being of animals through direct donations and proceeds from farm byproducts. We are committed to giving every animal entrusted into our care a second chance at life.
Our Approach
At Second Chance Ranch Animal Sanctuary, we believe that every animal deserves to be treated with respect and compassion. We provide our animals with a safe and comfortable environment where they can thrive. We are committed to promoting the well-being of animals through education and visitation programs, as well as through our direct care of animals in need.
Our Intent
Second Chance Ranch Animal Sanctuary was founded in 2010 by two veterans who are animal lovers who were concerned about the lack of resources available to animals in need due to the decline of Equine interest and changing cultural priorities. With a supportive board of like-minded veterans we work to provide sanctuary to equines in need of a forever home. Additionally, our desire to assist animals also helps issues related to PTSD because the flight or fight mechanizm is a shared issue that resonates with combat vets. As a result, working with them helps provide a sanctuary for both our equines and for us, and we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of animals and the people who love them.
