At Second Chance Ranch Animal Sanctuary, we provide forever homes for equines that due to owner or medical circumstances have had to be rehomed. Our residents come from various backgrounds, and each has a unique story to tell. Below are our amazing equines that call our sanctuary home.
Mini Donkey
Freddie
Freddie is a frisky youngster who upon arrival at the sanctuary has come into his own. Freddie spends his days playing with staff and his favorite battle buddy Jewel. He is living his best life having overcome his initial fear and has assimilated well with all his Equine friends.

Remmie
Remmie is a seasoned multifunction mare who has spent time in dressage, trail and as a hunter. Due to no fault of her owner she was rehomed to provide a sanctuary where she can recover from a leg injury and live the life of ease.
Quarter Horse Mix
Chase
Chase came to us many years ago as an older gentleman who was not blessed with lottery genes. Knock-kneed and pigeon toed is the accident prone resident that keeps our vet on speed dial. What he lacks in grace he more than makes up for in a beautiful temperament.
Thoroughbred
Austin
Austin is our resident thoroughbred racehorse who unfortunately wasn't able to win enough races to keep him off the kill pen auction block. Saved by a young lady he eventually found his way to us from a rescue to live out his life with his herd to share stories of his racetrack exploits
Mini Horse
Jewel
Jewel unfortunately had a past life as a kiddie ride for a church child petting zoo. When she came to us she was conditioned to walk in a circle and over time has relearning to be herself free from a circle pen. Initially tied up in knots, angry and apprehensive she has made great strides at her new home.
